The DeshiRhymes Rap Battle Tournament!
The Official Schedule for the tournament!
So we're having a major rap battle tournament on DeshiRhymes.com start July 10th and this will be one of the biggest rap battle tournaments in the history of our young hip hop culture!
RULE CHANGE:
Since the response for this battle tournament was overwhelming, the rules had to change so we increased the number of rappers needed for the tournament from 16 to 24 [8 groups with 3 in each].
Prizes for the winner
- An opportunity to meet the members of Deshi MCs, Slick, DJ Raf and Jasper at work.
- Jasper and DJ Raf will produce a complete song for the winner.
Everything will be done by the two rappers/producers from composition,
production, recording, mixing and mastering. And the track can be used
by the winner for demo purposes for their personal projects.
- The chance to perform that song live on stage in one of our shows.
The Tournament Guidelines
So here's how it's gonna work...
- The tourneys will start off with 24 emcees altogether. These will be individuals who have qualified to participate in the tournament by following the correct entry procedures. The participants will then be randomly matched up with their Group.
- Eight groups of Three emcees each will be made
- Each MC in a group will battle the other MCs in their group and points will be recorded on a league table. Each win will earn the Emcee 2 points. Each KO will earn the Emcee 3 points [3-0 KO and 4-1 KO]. Each loss will earn them 0 points.
For example - Group 1 will have 4 MCs.. and each of them will battle the other 3 and try to get as many points as possible.
- The top two in each group [total 16 rappers] will then go to the quarter finals and battle their opponent to get a place in the semi-finals. Like wise, the winners of the semi-finals, will proceed to the finals.
- 3-0 KO and 4-1 KO.
- The Tournament Moderators reserve the right to impose any Penalties (ie disqualification) if, in its judgment, any Emcee,displays unsportsmanlike (freeposting like a faggot or starting beefs with other contestants)conduct during their battles, or if he or she is found to have bitten their verse from another emcee on this site or another one.
Voting Guidelines
- Every vote has to be explained with reasons.
For Example-
Creativity: Bob's creativity was much better than freds.
Flow: I think fred had the best in flow, but bobs was OK.
Wordplay: I think bob took over fred easily with wordplay, i loved it.
Vocabulary: I think bob chose a better choice of words than fred in this battle.
Multies: Fred had this one, bob used hardly any multies.
Personals: Bob took this one, he gave fred plenty of personals.
Overall: BOB

Meanings:
Creativity - this means how creative an emcee comes out with things.
Flow - This is how the emcee's rhyme stays at a good pace as you read through.
Wordplay - This is were Emcee's get their words in the right places and sets them up properly.
Vocabulary: This is the sort of words an Emcee comes up with and how well he knows them.
Multies - This is how well the emcee's used their Multies.
Personals - How well they dissed each other personally.
Overall - Who you think won the battle.
If this format is not followed, the vote wont be counted.
